Pick it Up is a 7-lesson curriculum built around a card game developed in 2021.
This educational programme teaches and encourages students to be part of the circular economy. Specially designed for emerging economies to maximise recycling. Students learn about the importance of waste separation and recycling, as well as the essential role that scrap dealers play in the informal recycling sector in India. It aims to empower students to separate their waste at home and sell their valuable recyclables to scrap dealers.
The simple colourful card game can be played in any classroom, and paired with the hands-on lesson plan it becomes an interactive resource tool to empower the change makers of tomorrow.
For students aged 10 to 14 years.
Included Subjects: Math and Science.
Available in English and Tamil.
